What I had believed to be a Citadel miniature sculpted by Bryan Ansell turns out to actually be one of many re-sculpts done by someone else for Ral Partha. This figure was sold individually in a Ral Partha Imports blister pack labeled with an FTF code (a holdover from the Citadel “Fantasy Tribe Fighter” range), and as part of the “Defenders of Law” boxed set put out by Ral Partha.

The blister pack appears to have included some additional loose weapons for equipping this well-laden fellow even further…!

Citadel and Ral Partha had a distribution agreement at one point – the “Ral Partha Imports” line of figures originally started as repacked Citadel figures for the USA market – but eventually that agreement ended. Rather than axing the RP Imports line, Ral Partha had most all of the figures re-sculpted. I have no idea who did this one. Here’s a photo of the original figure by Ansell:

I painted this figure to use as a “Brigand” in games of WFB3/Realm of Chaos. I rolled the maximum equipment options possible on the followers table in The Lost & the Damned, so I figured a (very) well armed fighter made sense.
